This job-oriented paramedical training program teaches students how to operate the scanner, record images, and give over the records to the appropriate senior doctors. These experts work under the supervision of experienced doctors/radiologists, attentively following the physician's or radiologist's directions. The first year of the curriculum consists of an intense study of General Anatomy & Physiology (Cytology, Histology, Osteology, and the fundamentals of all organs of the body) as well as a detailed examination of the skull, brain, and spinal cord. Students learn the fundamentals of pertinent pathology, pharmacology, and microbiology, as well as the medications used during CT scans, as well as radio physics, radiographic postures and radiation dangers, hand cleanliness, and cross infection prevention.
